I am searching for the parents of SOPHIA HOLLAND who was born December 16, 1814 in Georgia. She married James W. Powell in 1832 in either Randolph, Lee or Sumter Co GA. They lived in Lee and Terrell Co. I truely believe that she somehow connects sto the Daniel S. Holland Line. I noticed that the 1830 Dooly Co GA census shows Daniel and his wife. Zilpha, with 3 females aged 15-20. Daniel and his wife would have been too old so they must have been grandchildren. Census records for Sophia show that her father was born in NC and her mother in Virginia.

My Sophia and husband James named their first daughter Queen but she is listed on the 1850 Terrell Co GA census as Zelpha. Sophia and James named their first son Daniel C.. Other sons were Henry, James,Thomas and William. I know there were some Holland's in Sumter Co GA, which is near Terrell and Lee counties.
